For twelve years, I taught history at the high school level. I credit the experience of traveling to England at the age of 15 and visiting the British Museum, for inspiring my love of world history.  After graduating with a B.A. in Communications and then an M.Ed. from the University of Nevada Las Vegas, I began my career teaching in Las Vegas. After seven years of teaching in Las Vegas, I moved to North Texas where I accepted a position as an Instructional Coach & Department Chair with Frisco Independent School District. In this role, I learned to love working one on one with teachers in my department to help them grow their professional capacity.

Some of the most profound learning experiences I had while I was teaching was traveling to Turkey, Germany, United Arab Emirates, Jordan and Oman as a teacher delegate. These trips helped grow my understanding of the world and bring my love of culture and learning to my students.

In 2018, I decided to step away from teaching and become a full-time graduate student at Texas A&M University in College Station where I am learning about Human Resources and Business Management.

When I'm not in the classroom, you can find me designing custom photo books, planning my next overseas adventure, watching comedies on Netflix, attempting to play tennis, or perfecting the art of homemade pizza.
